Rita Trieger is the founder and editor-in-chief of Fit Yoga Magazine, and the author of “Yoga Heals Your Back” [Fairwinds, 2005]. She incorporates a variety of traditions into her inspiring teaching style, and has cultivated an enthusiastic following in both vigorous Vinyasa flow classes, and healing restorative classes. She currently teaches yoga and meditation at The Health and Fitness Institute at Stamford Hospital, Elements Yoga in Darien, the Bennett Cancer Center, and Stamford Hospital’s Center for Integrated Medicine. Rita Also loves the Zen of Spinning and is thrilled to be a part of this year’s SPINODYSSEY!

SPINODYSSEY Committee donates $25,000.00 to
Norwalk Hospital's Wittingham Cancer Center!

The SPINODYSSEY Committee was proud to donate $25,000.00 to Norwalk Hospital's Wittingham Cancer Center. Featured in the top photo shown below are Phoenix Kovacs (far left) and Sarah Binderberger (middle), both of
The McIntyre Group. Sarah has served as both the Volunteer Chair and
Music Chair since 2000.

SPINODYSSEY is an indoor cycling event that spans 6 hours where participants ride on Spin Bikes anywhere from one to six hours in a collaborated effort to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. The 2010 goal can and only
will be met with the support of volunteers and sponsors.

This years event will take place on Sunday, March 7th, 2010.

'Spin' Cyclists Raise $500,000 For Breast Cancer Research (pdf)

Robeks Juices Up SPINODYSSEY Riders (pdf)

Robeks Juice is committed to helping customers lead healthy lives and is a strong supporter of Breast Cancer charities and events in Fairfield County. Darien store owner Cheryl Curthoys organized the support effort behind this year’s SPINODYSSEY event to be held this Sunday at Fitness & Tennis Club in Norwalk, enlisting fellow Robeks store owners from Stamford and Westport. Robeks will be providing fresh squeezed orange juice and fruit smoothies to more than 500 cyclists and spectators throughout the 6 hour event.

Following a strong opening in October, the Darien Robeks, located at 883 Post Road, has solidified itself as a destination for health-conscious adults and teens. Open weekdays at 7am, a Robeks smoothie with a free nutritional supplement is a great way to start the day.
